Elavon's hosted payment gateway (EPG). Secure payment links for a booking, paid on Elavon's own page, with your hotel as merchant of record. Elavon Payment Gateway official site ↗
What it covers
Payment links and what happened to them. Once certified, the concierge can create a payment link for an amount the booking flow provides, share it with the guest, and read back whether it was paid. The guest enters their card on Elavon's hosted page — card details never pass through Maison, and your hotel stays the merchant of record. Staff-facing tools cover refunds, voids, captures, cancelling a link, and reading the merchant, account and transaction records Elavon holds. Every tool is listed below as not yet certified until Maison has run it against your sandbox.
What you need
- Your merchant alias, issued by Elavon for the merchant account the concierge should act for.
- A secret API key (it starts with
sk_). The publicpk_key is not accepted — it only works for hosted card forms, which Maison does not use. - Whether links should charge immediately or authorise for a later capture, and how many hours a link stays open.
Setup steps
Get your EPG credentials from Elavon
Ask your Elavon contact for the merchant alias and secret API key for the account the concierge should use. Elavon issues them by hand; there is no self-service key page yet.Enter them in the admin console
Paste the merchant alias and secret key on the integration's settings page and save. They are encrypted at rest and never shown again.Choose capture mode and link lifetime
Pick whether a paid link charges the card immediately or only authorises it, and how many hours a link stays open before it expires. Optionally choose the Elavon account if the merchant has more than one.Run a sandbox payment
With sandbox credentials, ask the concierge for a payment link for a small amount, pay it with an Elavon test card, and confirm the transaction reads as captured. Maison certifies the tools after this check.
Available tools
21 tools are available for Elavon Payment Gateway. The concierge calls them on a guest's behalf during a conversation; which are enabled is set per property, so you only turn on what you want it to be able to do.
